Connection to Michael Jackson
Slash brought rock firepower to Michael Jackson's 1990s work. The top-hatted Guns N' Roses guitarist added his blistering, blues-soaked lead playing to the Dangerous album, most memorably on the brooding ballad 'Give In to Me,' and he appeared alongside Jackson at high-profile live performances such as the 1995 MTV Video Music Awards. Like the earlier Eddie Van Halen partnership, the pairing let Jackson keep one foot in the world of hard rock while ruling pop.
