Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recognized Michael Jackson twice, a distinction reserved for a small group of artists. He first entered as a member of the Jackson 5, the Motown group that launched his career as a child, and later returned as a solo inductee for the run of records that made him a global star. Together the two inductions frame his full arc, from the young lead singer of a family act to the defining pop performer of his generation.
